Craft vs ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a general multimodal assistant for reasoning, research, file work, image creation and precise image editing. Craft is a Creative Studio for AEC Workflows. It adds a persistent project record, specialist media handling, production plans, cost visibility and approvals so one building can move through many teams and deliverables.
The detail
ChatGPT’s current image system supports creation and editing through conversation, including selection-led changes and improved precision. It is deliberately broad: the same assistant can research a market, analyse a file, write a campaign and generate a visual.
Craft does not compete by trying to be a broader assistant. It supplies the AEC production layer around the work: project inputs, geometry and material memory, panoramic media logic, specialist tools, approval gates and costed execution. A team can still use frontier models inside that governed system.
When to use which
Use ChatGPT for broad research, thinking, writing, analysis and one-off image work. Use Craft when the work must remain connected to an approved AEC project and repeat reliably across stills, panoramas, motion and commercial outputs.
